Have you ever thought, That Chanel jacket would change my life… Well at the reNew and reDux fashion show, “that Chanel jacket” will not only change your life but the lives of Houston women trying to live again! The reNew and reDux fashion show combines two of my favorite things, fashion and charity.
This isn’t your ordinary fashion show. You can literally buy the looks off of the runway and proceeds go to The Women’s Home. High end designers like Chanel, Carmen Marc Valvo, Carolina Herrera, Valentino, Oscar de la Renta and oh so many more are going for pennies on the dollar. I stopped by the Cottage Shop today to give you a sneak peak. My dress above is Carolina Herrera.
This schoolgirl number below is Valentino:)

This week I joined Mirror/Mirror to give you the ins and outs of sporty style! Sporty Style has really evolved. While the sporty style of the past was really sports specific, for Spring 2014 we are seeing a more sophisticated and flirty version of the trend.
To me sporty style says functional. So I went with this tangerine romper. Rompers are flirty, fun and don’t restrict you like a dress. Sporty doesn’t have to mean tom boy so I added a touch of sophistication with this colorful blazer. This blazer by Alice & Trixie is a button less v-neck, adding to the sporty, less “buttoned up” feel. The perfect way to complete the sporty look is with a statement making pair of tennies. These colorful keds bring this look together, playing off of the colors in the blazer and romper.

Some of my my faves were…
Chloe Dao-Local and Loved!
and more… Tomorrow I will have my favorite show stopping ensemble.
Carrie Ann Boutique provided this oh so posh peplum top. I paired with my leather leggings and thigh high Sam Edelman boots. What you can’t see is the amazing, gold exposed zipper, holding me in! Carrie Ann Boutique- Click Here
I have learned so much since I began blogging for Fashion Houston. Fashion week NYC, Paris, Milan all have allowed me to dig really deep into what these great designers are all about. I recently covered the Emilio Pucci Spring 2014 show. Peter Dundas designed the Pucci 2014 Spring collection and it is the ultimate in sexy, tomboy chic.
(Read more about the collection here)
Runway styles don’t always translate into reality nor do their price tags. Here is how you can get the look without the Pucci prices!
The Pucci Dress below has a lot going on. Then to add even more, this curve hugging dress has a wide detailed belt.
Take this look from catwalk to sidewalk by ditching the belt. Save some dough with this similar printed dress at ASOS for less than 30 dollars! The black detailing will contour your body and you won’t get swallowed by the print.

It’s Friday, Friday, Friday!! Can you tell I’m ready for the weekend?
Not sure if it’s the upcoming St. Patty’s Day holiday or this fierce Valentino Jumpsuit but I am seeing green.
Xiao Wen Ju was spotted at Paris Fashion Week in the amazing head to toe, Emerald Green, Lace Valentino jumpsuit.

Fringe is showing up on runways worldwide and I could not be more excited! As I have said and will say again runway fashion
There are a million ways to wear this great summer shirt and after seeing the Tory Burch Summer look book I had to share more! From my neon must have summer shirt to nautical stripes and mixing patterns hop on the boat for a clash of trends. Runway looks are like movies, a exaggeration of reality that we can put our own twist on. Take this great Gracia striped blazer and pair with my must-have summer shirt and high wasted Kimchi Blue printed shorts for ultimate spring/summer style.
Whoever said stripes aren’t flattering was wearing the wrong stripes! I have found one simple stripe rule to live by is the larger the clothing size, the smaller the stripe. Full Stripes ahead!
Gracia Striped Knit Jacket, Kimchi Blue Shorts: Urban Outfitters , Nude Flicker Pump: Aldo, Must have neon top: H&M, Catwalk Look: Tory Burch Summer 2012, La Mer Wrap Watch: Shop Bop
A special thanks goes out to the amazing Michelle Eulene of Hold Still Media who I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot with! If you are looking for a great photographer or videographer check her out at the link above.
