A weekend in Sedona, Arizona is all a girl needs to clear her head and refresh her spirit! In celebration of National Girlfriends Day my bestie and I took off for a weekend of restoration.
First on our agenda was a morning hike up to Devil’s Bridge. So we tied up our tennies and headed out! These Nike Flyknit Lunar 1+ are the coolest. They look gray with specks of color in direct sunlight. In the shade they pop neon yellow.
The beauty that surrounds you in Sedona is unbelievable. The clouds were so big and fluffy they almost seemed close enough to touch! The sun is very strong though so protection is key to a great hike. Luckily my girl and local designer Chelsea Bevill of Bevill Supply geared me up. She designed this snow leopard snap back.
The hike up to Devil’s Bridge is no light feat.
Wearing breathable, flexible fabric that ‘wicks’ (LuLu Lemon term) sweat will get you up the hill in the uttermost comfort. This was my first time wearing Lulu Lemon. I LOVED it! It really does hug your body perfectly for motion but also gives optimal flattery of the derriere. You will feel so great in LuLu Lemon you can lift rocks!
Fashionbillie Bit: The Lulu Lemon Ignite Short runs very short. Try the Capri for extra coverage.

This floral, empire waist dress by Mink Pink inspired today’s Throwback Thursday.
I styled my dear friend to take us back!
I styled this look with a dainty sock and lace up booties to give this look a “My So Called Life”/ “Blossom” 90’s appeal.
Want to keep it simple? Pair with a wedge or t-strap flat for a flirty fun look. At only $76 it’s a STYLE STEAL for sure! “Whoa!” (Joey voice)

The weather is heating up and so are the colors this summer. My closet is mostly white, beige and cream with speckles of color throughout. But this summer bright is my new white!
You can get really creative when color blocking. Use brighter colors to highlight your favorite features, and use darker colors to minimize.
I found these oversized cateye sunnies at a local gift shop. They are the prefect way to wear the polarized colored lens look without the standard wayfarer shape. Gives a girly edge!
FashionBillie Bit: Heels must be worn at all times when rocking a elastic waist pant!
We went a bit color crazy navigating the city!
Make sure you get my good side:)

Casual Friday, ‘tis the day to rest the tootsies!
Feeling like channeling my inner Audrey H this morning. I slipped on my woven Tory Burch flats, a crisp white button down and cool cotton/linen blend black skirt. Then stepped out with my main man Ollie. Simple yet chic!
FashionBillie Bit: The Non-Iron Fitted Sateen Shirt from Banana is a amazing buy because it looks crisp all day. No mid day wrinkles!
The Tory Burch Prescot Woven Flat I am wearing is currently unavailable. Although I love the Kaitlin and Carlyle right now!

White on stripes on stripes!
The transparency trend is all the rage right now. Before you go strutting out of the house baring your skivvies keep a few things in mind.
Less is more! This trend is all about suggestion. Now you see it, oh wait, no you don’t.
It is also very feminine. Soft, frilly, sheer fabrics and paneling keep the eye entertained for sure! Think a transparent printed blouse with a pretty lace bra. Maybe a skirt with sheer paneling.
This white sequined dress by Yoana Baraschi is a more conservative way to rock the transparency trend. I love the sheer detailing throughout. There is a hint of skin at the neckline and hemline of the skirt.
I couldn’t wait to wear these Mod white sunnies I found at a local boutique. At $35 they were a total STYLE STEAL! They look very Tom Ford Carrie or Lanvin Opaline to me. Minus the $450 price tag!! What do you think?
I polished off this look with my white Diane Von Furstenberg sandals.
This is as close as you will get to a white out in Houston!

Orange you glad it’s Thursday?
I am obsessed with my new find!
Harem Ring, Handflower, Slave Bracelet or bracelet ring thingy are a few names for the ring bracelet fashion trend. Harem rings tend to have 3-5 rings attached to the bracelet. Handflowers have one ring and are a larger V shape decorating the top of the hand. The term slave bracelet just takes the beauty out of this great piece for me so I stick with ‘bracelet ring’. Sometimes bracelet ring thingy:)
These rings attached to bracelets have adorned women across the globe for ages. This little gem is one of my favorite summer fashion comebacks!
It’s dainty enough to wear to the office. You can also jazz it up with some bangles for a bolder look.
This summer black is the new black and I have a STYLE STEAL for you!! Shoe Dazzle is making Memorial Day wishes come true with 20% off all full price items!
From the Aliza gladiator sandal to the Lizzy oh so hot pump, you will be walking into summer in style.
The Aliza gladiator sandal is great for a pair of cutoffs and a festival. You can also pair them with a feminine floral dress to add a bit of edge.
I adore the Lizzy Pump. The see through detailing on the side not only capitalizes on the transparency trend but ads a hint of sexy flair. I never thought the side of a foot could be to intriguing. Strap on these heels for a night on the town with a cute a-line skirt or retro chic high-waisted short.

Nothing feels more like spring than throwing on a maxi. Tall or small these dresses flatter all.
If you are pint sized like a Kim K go for a great wedge and lengthen the look. I on the other hand tend to run into the problem of these dresses being to short. If you are tall like me grab a pair of flats and giver your tootsies a break for the day!

Try, try again… When you are following your dreams you can NEVER give up.
A coworker recently passed along the entry information for the Simon Style Setter Blogger contest. I hesitated a bit as I had applied last year and didn’t even make it to the final three. Being a firm believer in signs and the sheer fact that he thought enough of my passion to encourage it, I reapplied.
Out of the blue yesterday a message appeared in my inbox. This year I made t to the top three!!
Myself and two other amazing bloggers Melissa Chou of We Wear Things and Michelle Naik of 4 Inches High are now in a vote off.
Please help me share my passion and some really fierce fashion! Vote today!! Click Here
My dream may be a glittery, sparkly, girly girl fantasy to some but making women feel fierce is serious business to me. It’s a bit glittery, sparkly too. He, he!
