Just because I’m In New York doesn’t mean I’ve forgot about the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo!!! HLSR is like Christmas for Houstonians. Cook-off is Christmas Eve, lots of yummy B-B-Q and three nights of libation filled follies. Then comes Christmas with the big hitters in country and pop music. The HLSR takes over the month of March in Houston. So what’s a cowgirl to wear?
Recently I styled Sofia Collections Spring Collection. All of her pieces are handmade Italian silk and get this machine washable!! B-B-Q stains beware. LOL
FashionBillie Bit: Always go with versatile pieces when adding to your wardrobe. The Sofia Dress below can be worn as a flowing spring dress, belted, or throw it over some leggings and wear as a tunic top.

Yesterday I teamed up with five other fashionistas, to show off designer David Peck’s latest CrOp. Selected as one of Houston’s fashionable influencers by JW Marriott, I styled my own look from Peck’s F/W 14 collection. Today I have a sneak peek for you!!
Feeling the downtown vibe, I took a Mad Men turn and opted for his Pinon scarf neck blouse and Clovis skater skirt with a rust lace overlay. I love high waisted anything. Accentuating the waist is most flattering on all figures.
For my second look, I brought my own Gypsy 05 jewel toned jumper. Jumpsuits are a no brainer outfit. Add some accessories and you are done:) Again these are behind these scenes shots but you can get a good idea of the accessories I added.

“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure!”
For local artist/designer Enid Almanza this statement couldn’t hold more true. Enid used his creative vision taking…“stuff laying around that nobody wanted” and turning it into fierce fashion, trend setting Lady Gaga was dying to wear!
Sunday night a select few had the opportunity to preview his newest exhibit at Gallery M Squared.
His amazing designs open to the public May 17th at the Redbud Gallery!! Don’t miss your chance to see this local legend in the making.
