With Memorial Day on our heels, the question of proper etiquette when wearing white always seems to arise. The questions I receive are mainly about wearing white shoes. Sooo…
What are the rules to rocking white shoes?
As my former #girlboss would say, “white shoes are never appropriate, ever”. While I agree on many levels, there are some exceptions, if you know the rules!
1. Grooming is key! Nothing makes a white pair of shoes look better than proper grooming. According to fashion designer, Michael Kors, “They look best with self-tanner and a good pedicure, preferably not red nails.” today.com
2. Pair with a bold outfit, like my electric orange maxi dress. A statement making outfit will balance out the white shoe so they don’t walk into the room before you. Have you ever heard someone say, “That dress wore her, she didn’t wear the dress?” Same goes for white shoes.
3. Go with a strappy sandal or slip-on summer sneaker. You don’t want anything too clunky that will distract from your outfit. I’m really into the jewel embellished sandal trend right now like in my picks at the bottom of the page.
Along with my white sandals today, I mixed a few of 2015’s hottest trends with this electric orange cut-out dress from Azuz Boutique in Houston, mirrored sunnies and turquoise opal bling!
No Beyonce fan needed today. Mother Nature provided my wind blown look. LOL Forgive the cray cray hair.

Have you ever thought, That Chanel jacket would change my life… Well at the reNew and reDux fashion show, “that Chanel jacket” will not only change your life but the lives of Houston women trying to live again! The reNew and reDux fashion show combines two of my favorite things, fashion and charity.
This isn’t your ordinary fashion show. You can literally buy the looks off of the runway and proceeds go to The Women’s Home. High end designers like Chanel, Carmen Marc Valvo, Carolina Herrera, Valentino, Oscar de la Renta and oh so many more are going for pennies on the dollar. I stopped by the Cottage Shop today to give you a sneak peak. My dress above is Carolina Herrera.
This schoolgirl number below is Valentino:)

The instant this Sofia Collection dress fell over my shoulders I felt like I was in a dream! It reminded me of one of those 80s hair band videos, the mysterious girl, the flowing dress, delicate cream silk creating a innocent perfection. All I needed was the hood of a car and huge fan to complete my video. Hehe! Who doesn’t want a dress like that?
This is truly a grab and go dress, it’s lightweight so perfect for summer and travel. Sofia Collection is made in Italy with the softest silk and it’s hand washable!
FashionBillie Bit: I would rock this frock into fall by adding a pair of riding boots and blazer.

This week I joined Mirror/Mirror to give you the ins and outs of sporty style! Sporty Style has really evolved. While the sporty style of the past was really sports specific, for Spring 2014 we are seeing a more sophisticated and flirty version of the trend.
To me sporty style says functional. So I went with this tangerine romper. Rompers are flirty, fun and don’t restrict you like a dress. Sporty doesn’t have to mean tom boy so I added a touch of sophistication with this colorful blazer. This blazer by Alice & Trixie is a button less v-neck, adding to the sporty, less “buttoned up” feel. The perfect way to complete the sporty look is with a statement making pair of tennies. These colorful keds bring this look together, playing off of the colors in the blazer and romper.

This weekend I had the great advantage of meeting Miss Tori and Desiree, creators of All The Wire jewelry. These sisters are fashionably creative in their own right. However, you might recognize Tori Gonzales as bestie to Courtney Kerr (Fashion Blogger and Realty Star-Courtney Loves Dallas on BravoTV). These girls jewelry line is fresh and the story behind it literally brought me to tears. No Joke, total sap!!
Have you ever asked someone how much they love you? Maybe you get a, “To the moon and back” or “Arms stretched wide… Thisssss Much! ”. Well when Desiree asked her soon to be husband this question, his response of “a lot”, simply wouldn’t do. After a bit of thinking he pointed at the telephone wires that ran along the road for as far as the eye could see and said “All The Wire”. Above ground and below. He loved her more than All The Wire. I DIE!!! I’m also probably telling this story totally wrong. For the full story- Click Here
Basically this line allows you to recognize whomever you love more than “All The Wire”. It may be your mom, sister, boyfriend or bestie but you have to check it out today!

I have been a crop top wearing girl since a very early age. Maybe it’s the years of the dance recital costumes. Maybe it’s that I have an extraordinarily long torso.
Either way I welcome them back with open arms. You should too!
This week I show Mirror, Mirror viewers how to rock a crop.

The weather is heating up and so are the colors this summer. My closet is mostly white, beige and cream with speckles of color throughout. But this summer bright is my new white!
You can get really creative when color blocking. Use brighter colors to highlight your favorite features, and use darker colors to minimize.
I found these oversized cateye sunnies at a local gift shop. They are the prefect way to wear the polarized colored lens look without the standard wayfarer shape. Gives a girly edge!
FashionBillie Bit: Heels must be worn at all times when rocking a elastic waist pant!
We went a bit color crazy navigating the city!
Make sure you get my good side:)

Nothing feels more like spring than throwing on a maxi. Tall or small these dresses flatter all.
If you are pint sized like a Kim K go for a great wedge and lengthen the look. I on the other hand tend to run into the problem of these dresses being to short. If you are tall like me grab a pair of flats and giver your tootsies a break for the day!
