The sleeveless long waistcoat or vest is one of my fall staples. It is great for layering and adds instant chic to any outfit.
For my look today I started with a form fitting base of leggings and fitted crop sweater. Finding the perfect outfit is all about playing with proportions. By pairing my fitted crop sweater, with high waisted leggings, I create a long and lean look. This balances out the oversized vest. Bringing all of the colors in my outfit together, I added my favorite leopard print scarf and wool hat to accessorize.
Ohh… last but not least… How awesome are these pointed toe booties from Zara? They totally remind me of the Alexander Wang booties. LOVE!!

There is nothing a southern girl loves more than a holiday which requires margaritas, oh yea, and sparkles. Today I want to share my glitter iPhone case with you. It just makes me happy!! It makes Suzanne Somers, you know Chrissy Snow a.k.a thigh master, the savior of women’s thighs everywhere, well it makes her happy too. In a recent run-in she stopped me to admire the sparkly flow.

Happy Cinco de Sparkle!!!
I have to give credit to my girl FiFi from We Wear Things. The original finder de sparkle:)
I’ve always shied away from hats. Something about having a melon the size of Orbit (Astros fans will get my reference) made hats one accessory this girl just didn’t do. They always made me feel goofy. But Oh, how things have changed!!!! Here are just a few reasons I’m loving hats right now…
Hats can be your best friend on a bad hair, I don’t want to wear makeup day. Hats shield your gorgeous gams from the harmful rays of the sun. Hats instantly make any outfit look much more stylish. Below are some of my faves to take you from sun protection to sassy style in no time!!

Something about that chill in the air that makes Texas women pull out their fur! No joke, I was at an event last night and every woman was wearing fur, in some form or fashion. So with winter on her way I created the perfect Furrrr…. It’s cold out here, look for you today.
This weekend warmth look will take you from day to night, with multiple shoe options. Black on black will streamline your look, while the leather detailing along the side of the leggings will elongate the leg creating a slimming affect. Pearls play up the furs glamour element, while the structured ring gives the look a bit of edge.
FashionBillie Bit: A fur piece is a statement in itself. I suggest keeping the rest of your outfit simple, yet sophisticated.

Yesterday I teamed up with five other fashionistas, to show off designer David Peck’s latest CrOp. Selected as one of Houston’s fashionable influencers by JW Marriott, I styled my own look from Peck’s F/W 14 collection. Today I have a sneak peek for you!!
Feeling the downtown vibe, I took a Mad Men turn and opted for his Pinon scarf neck blouse and Clovis skater skirt with a rust lace overlay. I love high waisted anything. Accentuating the waist is most flattering on all figures.
For my second look, I brought my own Gypsy 05 jewel toned jumper. Jumpsuits are a no brainer outfit. Add some accessories and you are done:) Again these are behind these scenes shots but you can get a good idea of the accessories I added.

I’m kind of obsessing over this Torn by Ronny Kobo plaid dress right now. Plaid has been a big trend for a while now. This dress gives us a ultra-femme, flattering feel to the usual men’s plaid button down shirt. I’ve styled it two ways today.
For my first look, I styled a night on the town, by adding some sassy purple caged stilettos and yellow jeweled clutch. For my second look, I took a note from the Chanel Fall/Winter 2014 show and gave the dress a street style look with a pair of leopard calf hair high-tops. As a woman who runs around in sky high heels all day, I’m loving the growing acceptance of flats/trainers being fashionable. Good enough for Karl, good enough for me:)

I am obsessed with Meli Melo! I have been in hot pursuit of this show stopping dusty pink shearling backpack after seeing it on fashionable instagram after instagram. After a little research I discovered it was a little brand called Meli Melo, Italian perfection and a favorite of one of my favorite fashion felines Olivia P! The backpack speaks for itself but the Dusty Pink color is summer to fall transitional perfection. I’m not a pink girl myself but this muted pink tone just works.
Their Thela bags come in the same dusty pink shade as well and are my pick for the “IT BAG” for Fall! This tote is not only unique, it is so functional you can carry it 5 different ways!

Elle magazine recently published a article saying, “Color Coordinating is Not Chic, Says Science”. Apparently people don’t like things to matchy-matchy. While I appreciate the research, they are a little late to the game. What science has “proven”, is what fashion blogs and street style have been rebelling against for the past few years. Mixing their stripes and florals, textures and tones to mismatch is a match these days! On the contrary researchers found that people didn’t really like clashing combos either! So what’s a fashionista to do?
Mismatch while matching of course! My look today combines the mismatch with a black skirt and brown heels….gasp!! I then matched my tawny leather watch with my heels to pull the look together.

Baliloca is my go to travel purse for summer!
I absolutely love the sleek leather design. I like that it is truly a hands free purse and the shoulder straps are a real gem for overseas travel. You can wear it over or under your outfit and all of your items are safe next to your side. Plus, don’t you think it looks a little tomb raider? Check out Baliloca and kick some travel a!$
