In 2014 sneakers paired with dresses were all the rage. The trend was not so present this year on the runways but hot, hot, hot in streetwear. Today I show you how you can rock the streetwear trend too!!
For my look today I paired an ultra femme Tibi dress with my Converse Chuck T’s. These Chuck Taylors are high-top but I folded them down to get some ankle action. While pairing high-tops with a longer skirt may look cool proportionately, I don’t think it’s the most flattering for first timers. I’d go with a lower rise like I did today with my Converse. I also chose to stick with a monochromatic look, black dress, black kicks. This gives a more streamlined look instead of, “Hey I’m here, and so are my white sneakers”!! For the finishing touch I added some power girl bling.
Now rest those tootsies and step out in street style sneaker fashion!

Fairy Tales don’t happen everyday but something about this wrap dress from the Tibi 2015 Spring collection made me feel like I was in one. This dress is perfect for so many occasions because of it’s versatility. You can dress it up for a wedding with a formal heel, dress it down with a summer wedge or sandal, or pair it with a blazer and over the knee boot that will take you into fall.
I think this dress is ultra femme, so for my look today, I paired with gladiator sandals to give it a bit of edge.

With Memorial Day on our heels, the question of proper etiquette when wearing white always seems to arise. The questions I receive are mainly about wearing white shoes. Sooo…
What are the rules to rocking white shoes?
As my former #girlboss would say, “white shoes are never appropriate, ever”. While I agree on many levels, there are some exceptions, if you know the rules!
1. Grooming is key! Nothing makes a white pair of shoes look better than proper grooming. According to fashion designer, Michael Kors, “They look best with self-tanner and a good pedicure, preferably not red nails.” today.com
2. Pair with a bold outfit, like my electric orange maxi dress. A statement making outfit will balance out the white shoe so they don’t walk into the room before you. Have you ever heard someone say, “That dress wore her, she didn’t wear the dress?” Same goes for white shoes.
3. Go with a strappy sandal or slip-on summer sneaker. You don’t want anything too clunky that will distract from your outfit. I’m really into the jewel embellished sandal trend right now like in my picks at the bottom of the page.
Along with my white sandals today, I mixed a few of 2015’s hottest trends with this electric orange cut-out dress from Azuz Boutique in Houston, mirrored sunnies and turquoise opal bling!
No Beyonce fan needed today. Mother Nature provided my wind blown look. LOL Forgive the cray cray hair.

Is it a shirt? Is it a dress? It’s whatever the beans you want it to be!! Ever find yourself rummaging through your closet thinking, “I have nothing to wear”? I do all of the time and that’s when I get creative.
For today’s bohemian vibe I turned one of my favorite silk dresses by Sofia Collection into a flowy boho blouse. To get the look, I belted the dress at the waist, then pulled the material over the belt, from the top, to add a bloused feel. Try to remember when you would tuck in your t-shirt in as a kid. Remember how you would pull out the perfect amount to get the right tuck? Do that:)
To pull it all together I added my favorite, homemade, cut-offs, oh so perfect gladiator sandals and boho bling from Lauren Craft Collection.

Today I have a flash back Friday, that will give you a glimpse, into your fashionable future. Here is the ‘skinny’… Seventies fashion is in full effect for Fall 2015. Block heels, Mary Janes and groovy detailing were all the rage at the Nicholas Kirkwood Press Preview. ‘Can you dig?’
FashionBillie Bit: Keep those sexy over-the-knee boots, they are still trending for Fall 2015.
Something about that chill in the air that makes Texas women pull out their fur! No joke, I was at an event last night and every woman was wearing fur, in some form or fashion. So with winter on her way I created the perfect Furrrr…. It’s cold out here, look for you today.
This weekend warmth look will take you from day to night, with multiple shoe options. Black on black will streamline your look, while the leather detailing along the side of the leggings will elongate the leg creating a slimming affect. Pearls play up the furs glamour element, while the structured ring gives the look a bit of edge.
FashionBillie Bit: A fur piece is a statement in itself. I suggest keeping the rest of your outfit simple, yet sophisticated.

I’m kind of obsessing over this Torn by Ronny Kobo plaid dress right now. Plaid has been a big trend for a while now. This dress gives us a ultra-femme, flattering feel to the usual men’s plaid button down shirt. I’ve styled it two ways today.
For my first look, I styled a night on the town, by adding some sassy purple caged stilettos and yellow jeweled clutch. For my second look, I took a note from the Chanel Fall/Winter 2014 show and gave the dress a street style look with a pair of leopard calf hair high-tops. As a woman who runs around in sky high heels all day, I’m loving the growing acceptance of flats/trainers being fashionable. Good enough for Karl, good enough for me:)

Far, far away, in a land where the margaritas flow like water and sun kissed skin is your best accessory, lies Capella Pedregal. This resort nestled in the mountains of Cabo San Lucas is absolutely heavenly from its majestic tunneled entrance to its snow room featured spa. Such a beautiful place deserved a beautiful dress and this ombre silk number by Sofia Collection did just the trick!
The entire Sofia line is perfect for travel. It’s all made of Italian silk which doesn’t take up a lot of packing space, doesn’t wrinkle easily and transitions from day to night with a simple shoe change.
Sofia Collection is currently unavailable online but the link below will take you to the nearest boutique in your area.

This week I joined Mirror/Mirror to give you the ins and outs of sporty style! Sporty Style has really evolved. While the sporty style of the past was really sports specific, for Spring 2014 we are seeing a more sophisticated and flirty version of the trend.
To me sporty style says functional. So I went with this tangerine romper. Rompers are flirty, fun and don’t restrict you like a dress. Sporty doesn’t have to mean tom boy so I added a touch of sophistication with this colorful blazer. This blazer by Alice & Trixie is a button less v-neck, adding to the sporty, less “buttoned up” feel. The perfect way to complete the sporty look is with a statement making pair of tennies. These colorful keds bring this look together, playing off of the colors in the blazer and romper.
